Join David Casey and Clay Johnston for a tour of the features of the Dinétah, the ancestral home of the Navajo people. Have your vehicle full of gas and bring water, snacks, or personal necessities for a morning in a truly beautiful and remote area of New Mexico.
Moderate walking and distances at higher elevations (approximately 6,500 feet).

Trading Posts and Trading Places • 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Take a tour of trading posts of the Four Corners with Larry Baker. Visit one of the last original bull-pen style trading posts, and a modern operation that is in its fifth generation of ownership and includes a Navajo artifacts museum on the upper level.

A Riverside Walk to the Nature Center • 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Naturalist Donna Thatcher will guide participants
along the beautiful Animas River Nature trail. This two mile hike includes the All Veterans Memorial, an outdoor installation related to US military history ande engagements, and ends at the Riverside Nature Center's developed wetlands project. Enjoy refreshments and get a glimpse of a resident deer or bald eagle.
Hike will leave from the hotel.
