Adobe Photoshop Express is a Flash-based image editing web application from Adobe used to directly edit photos on blogs and social networking sites, so that users do not have to download or upload images. Similar to Picnik, the application currently works with sites such as Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket. Features include a touchup tool, soft focus, black and white capabilities, layering of fixes and effects, storage space, sketch effect, albums, and 3D online galleries.
Resize 2 mail is an online resize website utility developed for digital camera owners, webmasters, people travelling or anybody who quickly wants to resize a digital image for email or publishing on a web site.
GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. In addition to being a popular website for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by as a photo repository. The Flickr Commons project is a collaborative effort to between Flickr and a number of cultural heritage institutions with the goal to "firstly show [the] hidden treasures in the world's public photography archives, and secondly to show how your input and knowledge can help make these collections even richer."
One thing that makes Flickr a great place to host images is that it allows you to get those images out and display them on your site.
flickrSLiDR allows you to easily embed the classic flickr slideshows on your website or blog. All you need to do is enter the flickr URL address of the user, photo set or group you would like to embed along with some options. You'll receive the HTML embed code in return.
