The by-laws of the New Mexico Association of Museums were officially approved October 31, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but the NMAM mission is essentially unchanged: supporting the more than 200 museums in the state. Ironically, but perhaps not surprisingly given the volunteer nature of the association, we have not always done a good job preserving our history. If you have any material or information about NMAM that you think should be preserved in the archives which are housed in Santa Fe, please contact any member of the board whose contact information is listed on this website.
