The by-laws of the New Mexico Association of Museums were officially approved October 31, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but the NMAM mission is essentially unchanged: supporting the more than 200 museums in the state.  Ironically, but perhaps not surprisingly given the volunteer nature of the association, we have not always done a good job preserving our history.
